KEVIN HALL NAMED VICE PRESIDENT OF ADVERTISING FOR HEARST NORTHEAST NEWSPAPERS
Monday 14. February 2011 - Hearst Newspapers announced today that Kevin Hall has been named vice president of advertising for Hearst Newspapers' Northeast cluster, including its four daily and seven weekly Connecticut newspapers and the Albany Times Union. The announcement was made by Mark E. Aldam, executive vice president of Hearst Newspapers, and George R. Hearst III, publisher of the Albany Times Union. Hall will start on March 14.
In this newly created role, Hall will assume the top advertising sales leadership position for Hearst’s Northeast newspapers, reporting to Aldam. He will be based in Connecticut and have a hands-on role in managing the network sales operations for the Connecticut Post, The Advocate (Stamford), Greenwich Time (Greenwich), The News-Times (Danbury) and Hearst’s seven weekly papers in the state, including the Darien News, Greenwich Citizen, Fairfield Citizen, New Canaan News, New Milford Spectrum, Norwalk Citizen and Westport News. Hall will also coordinate the strategic sales direction and oversee sales execution for the Albany Times Union division working closely with Hearst.

“Kevin’s addition to the Northeast sales network will significantly strengthen our ability to serve our respective markets more effectively as we develop new products and media services for our valued business customers,” Hearst said.
Previously, Hall was vice president of advertising for Des Moines Register Media, a top 10 property within the Gannett Community Publishing division. He joined the Des Moines Register in 2003 and before that was advertising director of The Idaho Statesman since 2001. From 1997 to 2000, Hall was retail advertising manager for The Patriot-News in Harrisburg, Penn. He has a bachelor’s in economics from James Madison University.
