Growing Market Indicates Attendees Will Be Buyers at the 2011 SGIA Expo
Thursday 10. February 2011 - The North American Gateway to the Global Imaging Marketplace Comes to NOLA
The 2011 SGIA Expo is building on the success of 2010 – SGIA has already sold 78 percent of the 2011 show floor, where hundreds of exhibitors will be showcasing the biggest, baddest and most innovative products on the market.
“The SGIA Expo was rated one of the top 100 expositions of the year, and it draws decision-makers from more than 113 countries,” said Michael Robertson, SGIA’s President and CEO. “It’s the premier buying and selling event in the industry, so imagers get the full package. They just can’t afford to miss it.”
According to the 2010 SGIA Post-Expo Survey results, of the 21,956 Expo registrants in 2010, nearly a third of graphic imagers planned to purchase at the Expo. Once on the packed show floor, almost all of them did (29.7 percent), while 30.8 percent of graphic imagers planned to buy in the following six months.
“This [SGIA Expo] has been the best show in the last 15 years. There was so much traffic at our booth,” said 2010 exhibitor Paul Bernet of Catalina Graphic Films.
“I was going to fly out today, but I’m staying one more night,” said Paul Kelly of Longmont Signs (Longmont, Colorado). “I’ve just seen some things [at the Expo] I want to look into deeper.”
In addition, 27.3 percent of garment printers attended the trade show specifically for buying purposes. After seeing the show floor, a whopping 35 percent of garment printers made a purchase before they left.
