Kofax Appoints Wade W. Loo to Its Board of Directors

Kofax plc (LSE:KFX), the leading provider of document driven business process automation solutions, today announces the appointment of Wade W. Loo as a Non Executive Director and member of the Board of Director’s Audit Committee effective as of February 4, 2011.
Wade retired from KPMG during 2010 and worked there for 30 years. He was most recently the senior partner in charge of its audit practice in the Northern California region and the leader of KPMG’s Audit Committee Institute Roundtables and Audit Committee Chair Peer Exchanges in Silicon Valley, which provide audit committee chairs and members with best practice and corporate governance information. While his recent focus has been on emerging software and technology companies that are publicly held or in the process of affecting initial public offerings in the United States, he also has a wealth of experience in working with major public companies in international environments. As a result, he has significant experience with US GAAP and SEC technical accounting and auditing matters as well as knowing the cultural issues of international business and how to operate in a global economy.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and California Society of CPAs, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Denver. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of JobTrain, a charitable organization helping people in need find meaningful jobs in the East Palo Alto, California area.
