Freshest Face on Capitol Hill: CannedWater4Kids
Tuesday 01. February 2011 - Non-profit brings global water crisis to members of Congress through its refreshing product
On Tuesday, February 8, CannedWater4Kids (CW4K) and its mission to provide access to clean water for children worldwide will be advocating for its product and its mission in front of Congress when the American Beverage Association (ABA) hosts members of the U.S. House of Representatives at a Beverage Showcase and Reception in Washington D.C. The event will be held in The Rayburn Foyer of the Rayburn House Office Building, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. (ET).
“Only CW4K, however, will offer Congressional representatives a taste of cool, pure spring water from a 300-year-old underground glacier,” said Greg Stromberg, INX International Ink Co. executive as well as Founder and CEO of CW4K. “At the same time, this event provides an excellent opportunity to broaden and strengthen support for our initiatives to help provide clean water for the billion-plus people on our planet who currently don’t have something that most of us take for granted. We encourage CW4K supporters to notify their representatives, urge them to attend this event, and stop by for a can of truly refreshing CW4K water.”
CannedWater4Kids is a North American based 501c3 non-profit initiative to generate awareness and fund projects to purify water for children in developing nations. Proceeds from U.S. sales are used to support numerous efforts to provide access to clean water for children throughout the world; 95 cents of each dollar donated goes to fund projects. Individual on-line purchases of 12- and 24-can packs of CW4K water can be made at www.cannedwater4kids.com. Visitors to the site can also donate directly to CW4K, with no purchase required.
“The ABA is including CW4K water as part of this presentation of its new non-alcoholic beverage ‘Clear on Calories’ labeling program, designed to make it easier for consumers to choose the best beverage for them,” Stromberg said. “CW4K will join a number of high profile beverage brands including Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper and Snapple.
