Monday 31. January 2011 - Software to Accelerate Order Fulfilment Processes
Kofax plc (LSE:KFX), the leading provider of document driven business process automation solutions, today announced it will provide a leading distributor of electronic components with a capture solution. The value of the contract to Kofax exceeds $350,000.
The customer, which distributes semiconductors, connectors and optoelectronics, will implement Kofax Capture, Kofax Transformation Modules and Kofax Monitor to scan and extract information from approximately 600,000 purchase orders and related customer account documents it receives annually. Once processed, the documents will be routed to image and data repositories for easy access by employees. The Kofax solution will increase efficiency and reduce latency between the receipt of customer orders and product shipments, ultimately accelerating revenue and reducing costs while improving customer service.
“Distributors seeking to maximize competitive advantage are leveraging Kofax solutions to provide their customers the products they need more quickly and efficiently than competitors in their markets,” said Alan Kerr, Executive Vice President of Field Operations at Kofax. “Kofax customers see a significant reduction in costs and full returns on their investments in 12 to 18 months.”
Kofax Capture accelerates business processes by scanning documents and forms, transforming them into accurate, retrievable digital information, and delivering the images and associated data into business process applications, databases and content management systems. Kofax Capture is flexible and scalable, enabling customers to define where and how documents are captured, whether in a home office, remote branch or data center.
Kofax Transformation Modules (KTM) automates document classification, information extraction and validation for large and medium enterprises facing manual, error prone or expensive process for managing large volumes of paper and electronic documents. Using intelligent recognition technology, KTM increases speed, reduces costs and increases visibility to accurately extract the most information from all types of documents and deliver rapid ROI.
Kofax Monitor provides real time monitoring and performance metrics on the operational health of Kofax Capture, and intelligent recognition and communication systems. It monitors the operational health of the system’s components, including scanners supporting Kofax VRS, and its business service viability, providing real time access to operational information so immediate corrective action is taken.
