HP displays latest large format digital inkjet hardware at Sign and Graphic Imaging

Thursday 27. January 2011 - HP is lining up a broad array of products from its range of large format digital inkjet printing solutions at this year's Sign and Graphic Imaging Middle East exhibition.

Exhibiting on stand number D2, HP’s products on display include HP Scitex Industrial printers, geared towards print service providers who want to produce high-volume, durable outdoor and indoor applications utilising a host of different media types. Also part of the showcase in Dubai are advanced large format printing solutions from the HP Designjet portfolio, introduced to meet the changing needs of architecture, engineering, construction, mapping (GIS), MCAD and repro-house professionals.
HP Latex Printing Technologies
HP Latex Printing Technologies on show comprise the versatile HP Scitex LX800 Printer which, as the largest, most productive HP Latex Ink device to date, sets a new image-quality standard for the industrial large format market. It features roll-to-free fall, roll-to-collector and dual-roll (up to two 1.52-m/60-inch rolls) capabilities. The LX800 also produces high-quality output with 1,200 dpi resolution at production speeds up to 88m²/hr. (947ft²/hr.) for outdoor billboards and 45m²/hr. (484ft²/hr.) for indoor applications. Alongside the LX800, the HP Designjet L25500 Printer, which is available in 42 and 60 inch models, offers easy, low-maintenance printing of a wider range of applications. Both printers run water-based HP Latex Inks, whose ability to produce prints for indoor applications where odour(1) is a concern, continues to attract environmentally-conscious customers.
Emphasising applications that help reduce the impact on the environment, a highlight area of HP’s 300m2 stand is a special, Latex Application Zone. This dedicated area demonstrates the immense creative projects achievable with latex technology and comprises eye-catching wall coverings, soft-signage, backlits and indoor POS/POP applications.
HP Scitex FB500 Printer speeds up turnaround on a wide range of media
Also on display in Dubai, is the HP Scitex FB500 Printer, a robust UV flatbed solution which enables digital and screen printers, sign shops, converters and large repro houses to bring rigid-printing capabilities in-house. Featuring a 163-cm (64-inch) print width and optional white ink capabilities, the HP Scitex FB500 Printer extends the applications offering available to users by printing onto a host of rigid and flexible substrates. Additionally, it allows remote monitoring via the HP Embedded Web Server and an onboard camera.
HP Designjet Z6200 Photo Printer sets new standard with high-quality output, high speeds
Launched only four months ago, the HP Designjet Z6200 Photo Printer series with HP Vivid Photo Inks delivers high-quality output and the highest speeds of large format printers in its price class.(2) Designed for photo labs, digital print shops, advertising agencies, design firms and commercial printers, the HP Designjet Z6200 Photo Printer series delivers photo-quality prints with a resolution of 2,400 dots per image (dpi) and versatility for indoor applications from line drawings to photographic output to signage. It is also 50 percent faster than its predecessor with speeds up to 140m2/hr (1,500 ft2/hr).
New HP Designjet T2300 eMFP and T7100 printers help improve design processes and realise business efficiencies
Completing HP’s impressive print showcase in Dubai are Designjet solutions that enable technical teams in the architecture, engineering and construction industries to collaborate across multiple locations, streamline processes and reduce costs.
The recently introduced HP Designjet T2300 eMultifunction Printer (eMFP) is the industry’s first web-ready large format printer with scan, print and copy functionality.(3) Designed to match today’s collaborative and mobile work styles, the new system makes it easy to share and manage content with project members around the world.
Alongside the T2300, the HP Designjet T7100 Printer is a high-speed colour printing system designed for central reprographic departments in enterprises and reproduction houses. The T7100 streamlines print production – from simple CAD drawings to high-quality presentations and boasts a competitively low total cost of ownership compared to competing technologies.(4)
