Banbury Litho updates its folding

Thursday 20. January 2011 - Commercial printer Banbury Litho will take delivery of a Stahlfolder TH 66 next week to ease bottlenecks.

“It’s a straight buckle for buckle machine swap. We are taking out an MBO B26, and replacing it with the Stahlfolder TH 66 giving us faster makeready times and more versatile folding options,” says Matthew Wise, managing director.
The Stahlfolder was identified as the most flexible choice for the wide variety of folds that Banbury Litho currently produces. In addition to the extra folding options the machine is equipped with perforating, scoring and slitting capabilities, which is an essential requirement due to the increasing workload the finishing department has to cope with.
The company’s pressroom equipment includes equipment a B2 10-colour long perfector, a B2 five-colour and a B3 six-colour. The company also has a Xerox iGen3 digital press and digital B3 wide format equipment. Its customer base includes a wealth of blue-chip household names, both local and national. Who require high quality digital and litho commercial print including leaflets, brochures and catalogues.
“We are seeing an increase in work levels and we are growing rapidly with a number of new clients,” says Mr Wise. “We have found Stahlfolders very reliable over the years and like the back up and service that Heidelberg provides. With a 24 hour finishing operation whatever machine we chose had to be robust and reliable and we think the Stahl fits the bill exactly.”
