manroland steps up market penetration activities in the German-speaking countries
Tuesday 18. January 2011 - manroland steps up market penetration activities in the German-speaking countries with combined efforts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as of January 1, 2011. Closer cooperation will substantially strengthen the sales and service activities and further increase customer proximity.
Fritz Torneden (59) and Gerhard Gocek (48) head the new organization. Fritz Torneden is in charge of webfed printing systems, while Gerhard Gocek heads the sheetfed printing system sector. The long-standing, highly performing representatives Baumann and Steuber remain in full charge of market penetration in their respective areas.
Sales and service structure of sheetfed printing systems
The market area for sheetfed printing systems is divided into three regions (Northern and Eastern Germany, Switzerland/Baden-Wurttemberg, and Austria/Bavaria). A regional managing director who is directly responsible for sales, printservices, and printcom heads each of the three regions. Gerd Michalak (49) is in charge of Baden-Wurttemberg and Switzerland, Dr. Peter Conrady (54) Bavaria and Austria, and Werner Seemann (55) Northern and Eastern Germany. Vincent Tillemans (49) handles the overall coordination of printservices. The familiar sales and service teams remain in place regionally to offer direct and immediate customer care.
Sales and service structure of webfed printing systems
The market area for webfed printing systems is divided into the regions North, East, Austria/Bavaria, and Switzerland/Baden-Wurttemberg. Regional managers ensure customer-oriented market penetration including printservices and printcom. Stephan Meinke (41) manages the North, the East is headed by Bernd Voigtmann (58), Austria/Switzerland by Richard Wagner (55), and Switzerland/Baden-Wurttemberg by Piet von Gunten (56). The overall coordination of printcom is the responsibility of Michael Koch (38).
Thomas Blechinger (38) manages all activities of the prepress business for sheetfed and webfed printing systems. CEO Gerd Finkbeiner commented on the changes: “We are convinced that this new structure will considerably improve our customer performance capacities.”
