Johan Kleberg New CEO for Canal+

Tuesday 11. January 2011 - Local presence strengthened with new country leaders for Canal+ in Sweden and Norway.

Current COO for Canal+ Johan Kleberg will become the new CEO for C More Entertainment/Canal+ when current CEO Jonas Eriksson returns to Bonnier Broadcasting & Entertainment as vice president. With the new appointment, Kleberg will also become part of top management at the TV4 Group.
“Under Jonas Eriksson, Canal+ has successfully worked with the rest of the TV4 Group and strengthened its position as the Nordic region’s leading premium TV company,” says TV4 Group CEO Jan Scherman. “We’re now entering a new phase, where it is important that Canal+ continues to rapidly develop its offering in each country and thereby grow the business. Johan Kleberg is, with his extensive experience in TV, at the TV4 Group and as operating manager for Canal+ in the Nordic countries.”
With the change in CEO, the current sales director Jonas Lönnquist will become the country manager for Sweden and deputy to the CEO, and Steinar Braendeland will become the country manager for Canal+ in Norway. Charlotte Repholtz will continue to serve as country manager for Canal+ in Denmark. With the appointment of country managers for Sweden and Norway, Canal+ is strengthening its local focus in sales and marketing in the respective Nordic countries.
