New Events at the 6th Global Forum on Pharmaceutical AntiCounterfeiting May 4-6 2011, London, England
Friday 17. December 2010 - For suppliers of anti-counterfeiting products and services to help combat fake medicines and medical products, the Global Forum on Pharmaceutical AntiCounterfeiting is a proven opportunity to reach out to pharmaceutical companies, drug regulatory agencies and others that specify anti-counterfeiting technologies to be used on medicines.
Now the 6th Global Forum just became an even more attractive proposition for exhibitors and sponsors, with two additional events that will attract even more delegates from these key organisations.
With the new EU Directive on Falsified Medicines due to be adopted in 2011 as part of the new EU Pharmaceutical Package, the European Alliance for Access to Safe Medicines (EAASM) will be working with us to organise a one-day conference on May 4th titled Medicine Maker to Medicine Taker – Excluding the Faker which will pose the question: is your organisation ready for the implications of this Directive?
The EAASM has played a significant role behind the scenes in the development of the Falsified Medicines Directive and it is well-placed to create a conference programme which will attract high-level attendance from pharma companies, distributors and the public sector.
Also on May 4th, just before the World Health Assembly discussion on the definition of counterfeit medicines, there will be a special, invitation-only half-day seminar titled Counterfeits Definitions and Solutions: What DRAs Need to Know. This event will attract drug regulatory authorities from around the world.
Recognising that these two events will expand the audience for exhibitors and sponsors at the Global Forum, we have brought forward the opening time of the accompanying exhibition to lunchtime on May 4th. We expect that many participants in the EAASM conference and the Counterfeits Definitions seminar will also attend the Global Forum, but opening the exhibition early will allow them extra time to view the exhibits and talk to exhibitors, adding value to your participation in the Global Forum as an exhibitor or sponsor. This is now a unique opportunity for you to discuss your services and products with the widest range of stakeholders and decision-makers in the pharma anti-counterfeiting field
