HP Recognized as a Leader in Managed Print Services in Europe by Analyst Firm Quocirca
Friday 17. December 2010 - Quocirca report acknowledges HP's strategic vision and depth of service offering
HP today announced that industry analyst firm Quocirca has classified the company as a market leader in the provision and delivery of managed print services (MPS) for enterprises in Europe.
The annual Quocirca Enterprise Managed Print Services European Vendor Landscape report provides an overview of the competitive situation and growth in the European enterprise MPS market. The report highlights the strengths and weaknesses of leading providers based on each organization’s experience and skills in providing MPS and its geographical delivery capability across Europe. Quocirca analyzed and classified vendors on the basis of market presence(1) and completeness of offering.(2)
In classifying HP as a market leader, the analyst firm acknowledged both the company’s strategic vision and its depth of service offering in the provision of MPS across Europe. It also recognizes significant investments by HP in its MPS portfolio and infrastructure to deliver complementary services such as business process outsourcing, workflow management and document outsourcing.
HP currently manages the print environments for more than 2,700 organizations globally, including approximately 1,000 in Europe, generating savings of between 28 percent and 48 percent for these organizations.
IT services firm Logica was able to reduce its energy consumption for print services by 32 percent after implementing an MPS program with HP last year. HP’s vertical workflow solutions also are helping banks process loan requests faster and more accurately, insurance companies respond to claims quicker, and judicial departments handle cases more efficiently.
“We believe today’s industry analyst recognition further demonstrates the effectiveness of our MPS offering and highlights our commitment to helping customers generate genuine business benefits from their print environments,” said Arnold Marty, vice president and general manager, Managed Enterprise Solutions, Imaging and Printing Group – EMEA, HP.
HP extends MPS portfolio with new secure document printing solution
The new HP and TROY Secure Document Printing Solution enables organizations to print high-value black-and-white documents with antifraud security features using plain paper and enterprise-class HP PCL5 LaserJet printers and multifunction printers.
The server-based application allows customers to define settings for security printing queues and to add antifraud features to print files before they are routed to a printer. The software provides enterprises with a cost-effective and flexible method for adding fraud-prevention features to any document printed using standalone or networked laser printers.
These complementary offerings are fundamental to helping organizations manage all aspects of their print and digital imaging environments more effectively.
