BASF increases prices for ethyl- and butylamines in Europe

Friday 17. December 2010 - With immediate effect, BASF is increasing the sales prices for higher alkylamines in Europe as follows:

Monoethylamine (MEA) + €50/metric ton
Diethylamine (DEA) + €100/metric ton
Triethylamine (TEA) + €110/metric ton
Monobutylamine (MBA) + €30/metric ton
Dibutylamine (DBA) + €40/metric ton
Tributylamine (TBA) + €50/metric ton
The price increase will apply to current supply agreements as soon and as far as allowed under their terms and conditions.
These high-quality special amines are the starting materials for the production of various intermediates that are used for example in the agrochemical, pharmaceutical, rubber and coatings industries.
