The sky is the limit for jewellery designer Hein Vera

Wednesday 15. December 2010 - 38-year old Hein Vera is very passionate about his profession. He makes custom-made jewels and is always looking for new opportunities and challenges. Thanks to his Roland JWX-10, the sky is the limit for him.

Ten years ago, Hein Vera started his own business in Waregem, Belgium. At first, the jewel designer made everything by hand. Because he felt limited in his creativity, he started looking for a machine that would give him unrestricted possibilities. Roland DG’s JWX-10 proved to be the golden egg.

In the summer of 2007, Hein Vera started to work with his JWX-10. Vera explains: “At first, I tested a lot. I wasn’t sure how to use it, but soon I discovered how I could make beautiful and detailed wax models. Now, I use my Roland machine almost every day. I love that I can make cheap models, without it being a time-consuming job. The JWX-10 isn’t too expensive either: the purchase price and the maintenance costs are lower than those of alternatives. The wax can be reused as well, which is environment-friendly and very economical. And with the new Roland fixtures I recently ordered, I hope to achieve even better results.”

Hein Vera is very passionate about his job and feels like the sky is the limit: “Every jewel is a new challenge. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a big and expensive or just a small piece of jewellery; every jewel has to be a real treasure. Perfection is my goal and I love the process of creating beautiful things together with my clients. It’s the best job in the world!”
