IDEAlliance has announced the first software programs to pass G7 System Certification. G7 is IDEAlliance’s industry-leading set of best practices for achieving gray balance and is the driving force for achieving visual similarity across all print processes. The G7 System Certification Program is designed to evaluate the ability of a software system to calibrate a printing device to meet the G7 grayscale definition using four 1-D Curves.
The Certified G7 Systems Are:
Fujifilm Taskero Universe ColorPath Sync
Heidelberg Prinect Color Toolbox
CHROMiX / HutchColor Curve2
Joe Fazzi, Vice President Media Production Technologies at IDEAlliance commented, “IDEAlliance is excited to deliver a new and important program to our members and the industry. More than 500 printers around the world have worked hard to achieve the status of becoming G7 Master Qualified. G7 Masters are seeking assurance that the technologies that comprise their workflows are capable of supporting the G7 Methodology. The G7 System Certification Program is a value-added benefit to all printers seeking to provide their clients with consistent visual similarity across all print processes.”
