ELLE DECOR Augments Sales and Edit Teams With New Hires
Tuesday 07. December 2010 - Media Sales Company Chalamode Engaged, and Mieke ten Have Named Associate Style Editor
After its initial announcement earlier this fall that the ELLE DECOR senior editorial team would be promoted under Michael Boodro, Editor in Chief, today the brand announces its latest appointments to the editorial and sales staffs. Los Angeles-based media sales firm Chalamode LLC has been engaged for national sales support in southern California, and Mieke ten Have joins the editorial team as Associate Style Editor.
“In addition to the spectacular earlier news about ELLE DECOR’s editorial team, we’re delighted that 2010 has been a banner year for sales with such industry-wide recognition as inclusion on Advertising Age’s A-List, and garnering the number 3 position out of 149 titles tracked by MIN,” observed Barbara Friedmann, Vice President/Brand Publisher. “Now we’re adding even more firepower to enhance our leadership position in what promises to be a very competitive playing field for 2011 and beyond.”
Chalamode LLC, a media sales company specializing in the design of custom advertising solutions for select media outlets and their advertisers in Los Angeles, is headed by Cha Mueller. Cha is a 20-year advertising industry veteran with a decade of agency experience and 10 years of double digit success with media sales at such diverse titles as Gourmet, The Sporting News and, most recently, Dwell and Doubledown Media, an exclusive portfolio of publication, websites and special events. The Chalamode team also includes: Stacey Jones, who oversees the endemic category and Michelle Johnsen, whose diverse career portfolio includes stints at BBDO Los Angeles, Forbes Life, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance and The Week.
Mieke ten Have joins ELLE DECOR’s editorial staff as Associate Style Editor with a professional track record that includes market responsibilities at The Wall Street Journal/Off Duty, Vogue, Domino and Revolution magazines. She was also Design Editor at mydeco.com and a designer with Rita Konig Interior Designs, Inc.
