Denver-Based Printer Earns Industry Qualification

Friday 03. December 2010 - Great Big Color, a Denver, Colorado based printer, recently achieved the G7 Master Printer designation from IDEAlliance for their commitment to consistent and accurate results in their digital print workflow.

It is a specification or methodology, developed by the Print Properties and Colormetrics Working Group of IDEAlliance, that defines the colorimetric principles and target values for gray balance and the neutral tone curve. Leveraging the G7 specification allows Great Big Color to achieve proof-to-press and press-to-press color consistency as well as repeatability.
Great Big Color staff has been trained in the G7 methodology and can reliably reproduce color in industry standard color spaces such as GRACoL and SWOP. This qualification denotes their commitment to using the most modern technology, techniques, process controls, and standards required to produce high-quality commercial printing. With the new designation, Great Big Color can provide consistent color with minimal waste of time and materials.
