NEW SCANDINAVIAN SALES MANAGER FOR PETAINER

Thursday 02. December 2010 - Specialist plastics packaging technology business Petainer has appointed Åke Larsson to the new post of regional sales manager for Scandinavia. He will be based at the company's manufacturing plant in Lidkoping, Sweden, and will be responsible for developing new markets for the company throughout the region.

Sales director Urban Larsson said: “This expansion of our sales team is just part of our plan for the future growth and development of the company.
“It will help us to build on our position as the industry leader in sustainability, focusing on sustainable technologies and material efficiency to deliver environmentally-friendly packaging.”
Åke Larsson joins Petainer from Asko Appliances – the Swedish-based manufacturer of high-performance washers, dryers and dishwashers – where he has been export director for the past ten years. Prior to that he was sales manager at consumer packaging company PLM/REXAM.
He said: “It is great to be back in the packaging industry working with a company that is establishing clear technology leadership.”
Åke lives with his wife Ulrica and three children in Lidkoping. His hobbies include golf, ice hockey, boating, gym training, running and skiing.
