Cortado Workplace for Android now with improved Cloud Printing and Multi-Device support
Thursday 02. December 2010 - Cortado's latest version of its free app supports Bluetooth and browser printing, conserves smartphone memory and enables cross-platform account access via Android, iPad, iPhone, BlackBerry or Symbian smartphones.
Mobile business expert Cortado today announced the new version 1.2 of its free cloud desktop mobile application, Cortado Workplace on Google Android tablets and smartphones. The application significantly expands mobile functionality of Android smartphones and tablets such as the Samsung Galaxy, allowing users to easily store, access, manage and wirelessly print documents anywhere and anytime, without the need to turn on a computer.
Cortado workplace is the leading cloud printing solution for mobile devices. It has more than 60,000 users from different mobile platforms and supports over 10,000 different printer models, making it completely manufacturer-independent. It also supports different file formats as those found on a PC. With the latest version for Android smartphones and tablets, Cortado now provides a significantly improved free version for the rapidly growing operating system.
For Android users, the free printing app will benefit from all the usual features (listed below), but unique to this platform is the option to open -files in Cortado Workplace which allows users to print, store/save and export email attachments or locally stored documents via Cortado Workplace. In addition, users can print webpages via the ‘Share’ feature directly from their Android tablet or phone.
The Cortado Workplace app can now also be installed on (or later moved to) an SD card rather than on the phone itself. Lastly, the solution offers multi device support, via the new Welcome Screen: A user can now access an existing Workplace account (e. g. from a previous registration with another Android device or a BlackBerry, iPad, iPhone or Symbian smartphone) from his Android device.
