Foreign object inspection in accordance with the HEUFT CleanDesign

Friday 26. November 2010 - Honoured: the new HEUFT eXaminer XAC is one of the top new products at the Emballage exhibition. An international jury of experts has officially selected the compact foreign object inspector in accordance with the HEUFT CleanDesign as "Pack Innovation 2010".

Therefore it can not only be seen in action on the HEUFT Stand E 002 in Hall 5a but also in a special area in Hall 6 of the exhibition centre.
243 product innovations were proposed by the Emballage exhibitors, 109 were preselected but only 48 succeeded. The fact that the HEUFT eXaminer XAC is among the winners and will be presented as an officially selected innovation in the Pack Innovation area of the trade fair is a great success. The jury consisting of competent specialised journalists emphasised the exceptional precision, efficiency, reliability and quality of the foreign object inspector and above all its compact, extremely hygiene-friendly design.
This further development combines the impressive performance of the proven HEUFT eXaminer systems with a new space-saving and hygiene-friendly construction. It identifies dangerous foreign objects such as glass splinters in containers filled with liquid, paste-like or powdery products with its extremely low-radiation, pulsed X-ray technology and rejects the packages in question before they leave the production line.
The pulsed radiometric measurement with its very low radiation dose is only activated when a product is actually in the inspection area. Integrated image analysis and filter technologies ensure maximum detection accuracy with a minimum false rejection rate. Harmless packaging structures or product inhomogeneities are clearly differentiated from dangerous foreign objects.
The casing and the inspection cabinets of the HEUFT eXaminer XAC are completely hinged. The sloping machine platform prevents the accumulation of contamination and facilitates cleaning. The small dimensions save room and make it easier to integrate the foreign object inspector into existing lines.
Brand changes are child’s play due to fully automatic adjustment options which can be reproduced at any time. The base and sidewall inspection of the HEUFT eXaminer XAC provides maximum precision even at high production speeds of up to 60,000 containers per hour.
