Edipresse Luxe continues to expand and focuses on its strongest brands.
Thursday 25. November 2010 - Edipresse Luxe continues to expand in Switzerland and internationally, with the launches of Bilan LUXE, Technology by Bilan and the Chinese version of the web site worldtempus.com. Next year will also see the magazine GMT adopt a quarterly publication schedule, and Tribune des Arts develop its single-subject editions.
The French-language edition of Revolution, launched in 2008, will cease to be published, since Edipresse Luxe is focussing its efforts on its strongest brands.
The first edition of Bilan LUXE is available from today on newsstands. This new, high-end national magazine, published in French and German, is the result of close collaboration between Bilan and Finanz und Wirtschaft, two leading Swiss business-press publications. With a print run of 65,000, LUXE is the prestige Swiss lifestyle magazine. It benefits from the editorial credibility and qualified audience of its two parent titles, and offers its readers all the exclusive innovations in watches, cars, fashion, new technology, travel and wellness. LUXE will be managed by Emmanuel Grandjean in Geneva and by Konrad Koch in Zurich.
The first issue of Technology by Bilan is being sent this week to the subscribers of Bilan and the partners of the Bioalps platform. This ambitious magazine about new technologies is published four times a year in English and is aimed at opinion leaders active in the areas of science and cutting-edge companies. Each edition covers a clearly-defined sector, which is explored in collaboration with the best experts. This original project, managed by Fabrice Delaye, has been created thanks to the joint efforts of Bilan and the cantons of Western Switzerland.
The site worldtempus.com, the leader in internet-based fine watchmaking and already available in English and French, will launch its Chinese version in early December. Worldtempus China will aim to promote Haute Horlogerie and to present the flagship brands of the watch industry to an audience very eager for relevant and credible information. This site in simplified Chinese will be managed by Edipresse Asia, directly from the offices in Shanghai, opening the doors to the Chinese market for its partners.
In the area of watch magazines, Edipresse Luxe is simplifying and condensing its offering on the Swiss market. The Magazine GMT, whose main edition was published only twice a year, will be adopting a quarterly frequency as of 2011, while maintaining its two special editions: GMT Lady, in pocket format, targeted at a female readership, and GMT XXL, which presents the finest watch brands in an exceptional format. La Tribune des Arts rounds off its monthly offering with single-subject special issues devoted to the history of a brand.
In contrast, the French-language edition of Revolution, launched in autumn 2008 at the height of the financial crisis, will cease to be published. This lifestyle watch magazine has taken up the challenge of a binational – Swiss and French – issue. With its original editorial content, it has captivated readers and advertisers, but its financial performance has not measured up to expectations. This decision does not affect at all the international editions of Revolution, which will of course continue to be published.
