Customers in the graphics art industry in China stand to profit from the move: “The product range and service have improved greatly,” says Dr. Thomas Perkovic, head of the printing blanket segment at ContiTech. “Above all, the new location will shorten delivery times.”
In the Shanghai Service Center, printing blankets of the CONTI-AIR brand are cut to size and prepared for use in printing machines. ContiTech, an internationally geared company headquartered in Hanover, Germany, founded its Shanghai branch in 2001 to strengthen its position in China and has since profited from the countrys economic development. 90% of sales are now achieved in the local market. At the beginning of the year, ContiTech already opened up an autonomous service center in Singapore where PHOENIX XTRA BLANKETS and ContiTech printing blankets are assembled for customers in the Pacific region, in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines.
