Publishers Printing Company Expands Services with Mark Andy P7 Press
Friday 05. November 2010 - Publishers Printing Company, a fifth-generation family owned company primarily dedicated to publication printing, recently purchased a Mark Andy Performance Series P7 to add label production to its services. The implementation of the press will play an integral role in broadening the scope of the companys printing capabilities in an effort to expand its customer base.
Located in the heart of Kentucky, Publishers Printing Company researched high-end, complex pressure-sensitive label production as an addition to their existing product offering. Once the decision was made to move forward with in-line flexo technology, Publishers Printing Company turned to Mark Andy for its respected position as a leader in the industry. The quality and versatility of the Mark Andy Performance Series led the company to purchase a 17 inch, 10-color P7, which included added features such as a film package, web turnbar, cold foil and rotary screen capabilities. After in-depth research of presses in the flexo industry, Publishers Printing Company found the P7 had a wider web, faster run speed, quicker changeover capabilities and was the most user-friendly over competitive presses.
“The versatility of the press allows us to print and finish any configuration of labels and accepts a wide variety of substrates. The decision to purchase the P7 as our first flexo press was unanimous by our research team,” stated Susan Reschar, Sales Manager, Label and Packaging Division at Publishers Printing Company. With the Mark Andy P7 being installed in October, Publishers Printing Company will soon be fully equipped to produce high-quality pressure-sensitive labels for the first time, a value-added service to its already extensive set of solutions for printing needs.
The Mark Andy booth (#319) at Labelexpo Americas will feature the Performance Series P7 and P5 models, as well as an interactive print station area where attendees are offered a hands-on experience with the equipment.
