Oce Business Services Highlights Records Management Solutions at the ARMA International Conference
Wednesday 03. November 2010 - Oce Business Services, an international leader in document process management technology and services, will highlight its records management solutions at the ARMA International Conference & Expo. The company will also address topics covered at the show that include paper and electronic records, compliance, document imaging, and records management best practices.
At this year’s conference, taking place November 7 – 10 at the Moscone Center West, experts from Oce will be on hand to help organizations and records management professionals understand how they can meet today’s business challenges through solutions such as developing records retention schedules and implementing document imaging systems.
Oce Presentation Addresses Key RM Topic
A presentation by Oce executive Ken Neal, ecm(P) will highlight two of the most critical communications skills for records managers and professionals in general: listening effectively and asking the right questions (November 9th, 9:45 – 11:15 A.M., room 2003). “The Power of Listening and Asking Questions” highlights specific skills that will enhance the ability to listen, ask questions, and leverage these skills for improved business success, particularly in the arena of records management.
Document Management Survey Highlights Key Trends
Executives at the Oce Business Services’ booth will be on hand to discuss findings of the company’s recent survey that details how organizations are leveraging document management strategies to meet current economic challenges. The survey report, At the Crossroads: Leveraging Document Management Strategies on the Path to Economic Recovery, explores document imaging, enterprise-wide print/copy, mail and shipping, records management, and fleet management (print/copy/fax fleet).
One trend uncovered by the survey is that a significant number of companies plan to increase their spending for document imaging activities: 52 percent of survey respondents assert that their organization’s document imaging budget will increase while 42 percent said it would remain the same. Organizations are finding that document imaging lowers the cost of storing and managing paper-based records while improving document retrieval and disaster recovery capabilities.
In addition to document imaging, organizations also are focused on records management: 51 percent of executives indicate that their company’s records management spending will remain the same while 38 percent specified that spending would increase.
