The Deutsche Bahn is banking on the procurement catalog solution of Heiler Software

Tuesday 26. October 2010 - After a request for proposals all over Europe, the Deutsche Bahn AG has decided on the e-procurement solution of Heiler Software. The Deutsche Bahn will use the Heiler Business Catalog as a search engine and ordering system for its purchasing activities.

The collaboration between Heiler Software and SupplyOn will handle the information and transaction process between the Deutsche Bahn and its suppliers.

The Heiler Business Catalog will be used as a search vehicle. Suppliers themselves can make C parts and services available by means of a portal. “This takes a considerable load off the procurement process,” says Thomas Haag, director of the customer portal and eService at the Deutsche Bahn. In its function as a search vehicle, the Heiler solution allows for the viewing, comparing and ordering of products and services. Through the integrated platform of SupplyOn, transactions such as invoices or credit notes with the Deutsche Bahn can be processed within a single system. “With active C-parts management and transaction automation, we hope to minimize processing costs in the area of procurement,” Haag adds.
