Meech Appointment Leads to Direct Sales in Germany

Tuesday 26. October 2010 - Meech International has strengthened its sales and support in Germany with the appointment of Harald Gruber. Mr Gruber has extensive experience within the printing, packaging, plastic and converting markets and in his new roles of technical sales, Germany, he is responsible for selling the complete range of Meech equipment - electrostatic control, web cleaning and air technologies.

“I’ve known of Meech and its high reputation in the industry for a long time and I was very interested when the opportunity arose to join the company,” he says. “In areas such as static control Meech is a pioneer and it’s a pleasure to be working with a manufacturer at the cutting edge of a technology.

“Germany is a huge potential market for Meech because so many of its products provide the solution to quality and productivity problems encountered on the production line or printing press. Many of the companies I have been involved with are already users of Meech equipment, so I’m looking forward to meeting up with them again and with speaking to potential new customers.”

Harald Gruber reports to and works closely with Meech Electrostatik SA, which is situated in Belgium and oversees sales and support in Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The first exhibition he will be involved in is the forthcoming K 2010 plastics show, where Meech will be showing several new systems for controlling static and for web cleaning.

“As companies in almost every industry seek ways to improve productivity and profits but without having to invest in new lines or presses, so the solutions that have been developed over many years by Meech are becoming increasingly popular,” says Rainer Simon, general manager at Meech Electrostatik. “We have several customers in Germany, operating in various markets, and we reached a stage where it made sense to have a full time employee who could more easily serve these companies. Harald Gruber’s experience, commitment and contacts make him the ideal person to take on this role.”
