Konica Minolta Introduces Next-Generation of Scanners from Kodak
Monday 25. October 2010 - New High-End Range of Scanners Offers Depth of Features and Functionality
Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta), a leading provider of advanced imaging and networking technologies for the desktop to the print shop, has announced the availability of the latest KODAK Document Imaging Scanners and KODAK Capture Pro Software as part of the Konica Minolta product and solutions line. Comprised of 20 new models ranging from small business/workgroup scanners to high-volume production scanners, the new KODAK scanners fall within nine different series and offer a wide range of speeds and daily volume capacities to meet the ever-changing needs of customers.
Grouped into five segments, the new series of scanners are as follows:
Workgroup Scanners – KODAK i1200 Plus Series Scanners (Including Kodak i1210 Plus)
Departmental Scanners – KODAK i1300 Plus Series Scanners (Including Kodak i1320 Plus)
Low Volume Production Scanners – KODAK i1400 Series (Including Kodak i1440) and TRUPER Series Scanners (Including Kodak TRUPER 3610)
Mid Volume Production Scanners – KODAK i4200 and i4600 Scanners (Including Kodak i4600), and KODAK i700 Series Scanners (Including Kodak i780)
High Volume Production Scanners – KODAK NGENUITY Scanners (Including Kodak NGENUITY 9090DC)

The new KODAK Scanners deliver speeds ranging from 45 pages per minute (ppm) to 200 ppm and images per minute (ipm) speeds from 80 ipm to 800 ipm. Some of the advanced features include: Simplex/Duplex; Automatic Document Feeder; Very Long Document scanning; Multi-feed detection; Switchable imaging background; ISIS and TWAIN driver support, and Kodak’s Smart Touch feature.
KODAK Capture Pro Software, v2.5 features new functionality for digitizing paper-based tasks, including accounts receivable, claims processing and backfile conversions. Extending Capture Pro Software, v2.5 capability to be a part of a custom workflow, it includes an enhanced capability to automatically start a specific process when output processing has been finalized, allowing the integration into customized workflows. KODAK Capture Pro v2.5 works with KODAK Document Scanners and more than 150 scanners from other manufacturers. The all-new KODAK Capture Pro Software Auto Import Edition creates a dedicated capture platform for environments without an attached scanner, performing the same powerful image processing as Capture Pro Software for document scanners.
