Copy Service Leeuwarden Continues to Expand its Digital Capabilities with an HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press

October 2010 - Copy Service Leeuwarden (CSL), of Leeuwarden, The Netherlands, has installed an HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press to increase its capacity for high-quality, fast-turnaround print. The ability to deliver jobs within 24 hours is the hallmark of CSL's work, and the company had been meeting demand with its HP Indigo press 5000.
With the increased demand for high-quality colour, Jan Elfdé, founder and managing director, CSL, decided that a step-change in production capacity was needed. The installation of the HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press has enabled CSL to increase production from 4000 full colour pages per hour to 7200 pages per hour.
“Our HP Indigo press 5000 had a very big effect on the company, leading to strong growth,” Elfdé said. “When looking again at increasing capacity, we had to decide whether to invest in a second HP Indigo 5000 series press, or take another step in speed with the HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press. We decided on the 7000 press because as well as the increased speeds we had the benefits of the improved print quality.”
