Konica Minolta Direct Print for KIP Software Option Launched

Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta), a leading provider of advanced imaging and networking technologies for the desktop to the print shop, today announced the Konica Minolta Direct Print for KIP software option, allowing users to access plans and complete jobs right from the KIP touch screen. Jointly developed by Konica Minolta and KIP America Inc. (KIP), a leading manufacturer of wide-format printing and imaging technology, the Konica Minolta Direct Print for KIP option is an integrated view, print and copy utility that connects KIP systems and Konica Minolta Multifunctional Products (MFPs – print, copy, fax, scan all-in-one system)) making document viewing, copying and printing simple and fast.
Konica Minolta Direct Print for KIP works with the KIP 700/7100/7700/7900/9900 models as well as the KIP Color 80 Wide Format Systems and lets customers view, print and copy documents directly to most current and legacy Konica Minolta color and monochrome MFPs, monochrome production print systems, and tabloid size color laser printers. It has been integrated into the KIP touch screen interface enabling design users to maximize output and quality while minimizing the time invested in producing prints of superb color accuracy. The Konica Minolta Direct Print for KIP allows for easy job creation for both small and wide format documents, with support for both color and monochrome documents. No additional hardware or software is needed.
Konica Minolta Direct Print for KIP supports a wide range of applications including half and full size sets of mechanical, electrical and engineering drawings, reference prints, schematics, graphics, engineering change orders (ECO’s), project time lines and statistical data. In addition, Konica Minolta Direct Print for KIP supports a wide variety of both vector and raster formats including DWF and PDF.

Konica Minolta Direct Print for KIP option is available now for and MSRP of $795, and works with KIP 700/7100/7700/7900/9900 and KIP Color 80 Wide format Systems (that are equipped with a scanner).
