C.P. Bourg, the world’s leading technology developer and supplier of in-line and near-line document feeding, binding and finishing equipment, has been selected by Xerox Corporation as its distributor of the highly productive DocuCutt system manufactured by CEM Products of Italy.
The CEM DocuCutt receives oversized sheets of paper up to 14 x 20.5 inches from a Xerox iGen press, or up to 12.5 x 19.33 inches from a Xerox Nuvera? 288 EA Production Perfecting System, imposed multiple-up. The CEM DocuCutt automatically trims the sheets to a specified book size and then feeds the book pages in-line to a Bourg Book Factory, optimizing production cost and paper use. The CEM DocuCutt can also feed the cut sheets to a C.P. Bourg BPRF Perforating Rotating Folder, which perforates, rotates and folds sheets into 4-page signatures for even more economical production by the Bourg Book Factory.
Under the agreement, C.P. Bourg will distribute the CEM DocuCutt for Xerox in North and South America, stock and supply spare parts and provide factory-authorized service to Xerox customers.
“As a long-standing premier Xerox Business Innovation Partner, we are pleased to help Xerox and its customers obtain finishing equipment that can maximize their production efficiency and to provide them with highly responsive expert service and support,” said Richard Trapilo, Executive Vice President and General Manager, C.P. Bourg, Inc.
The CEM DocuCutt will be shown operating with the Xerox Nuvera 288 EA Production Perfecting System, Bourg BPRF and Bourg Book Factory in Xerox booth #400/600 at Graph Expo 2010.
An award-winning supplier and Xerox Business Partner since 1989, C.P. Bourg most recently was named the Xerox Overall Finishing Business Innovation Partner of the Year for 2009, and as the Xerox iGen Finishing Business Partner of the Year for 2009.
