CAPSYS and Kodak Announce Integration with Kodaks Remote Deposit Capture Application Suite
Wednesday 06. October 2010 - New Solution Allows Users to Scan, Index and Deposit Business Checks Using CAPSYS CAPTURE with KODAK t6000 Client and Server Transaction Software
CAPSYS and Kodak announce a new Independent Software Vendor ISV agreement that integrates CAPSYS CAPTURE (on-premise and Software-as-a-Service editions) with KODAK t6000 Client and Server Transaction Software. The ISV agreement establishes a new solution for customers looking to scan, extract, index and deposit checks into the customers respective merchant bank accounts.
The integrated solution accelerates accounts receivable business processes. Customers can batch scan business documents and checks together from anywhere using CAPSYS CAPTURE Software via MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER Browser and a TWAIN compliant document scanner, such as the KODAK i1200 Plus Series Scanners. The solution eliminates the need for business to ship business documents and checks to a central office for processing and deposit.
Once the mixed batch of documents and checks are scanned, CAPSYS CAPTURE Software automatically detects and routes using CAPSYS graphical, rules-based workflow engine – the check to the KODAK t6000 Client and Server Transaction Software, which will process and produce the industry standard x9.37 Image Cash Letter (ICL), presenting the deposit and check images to the merchants local banking institution. The business documents related to the check will be automatically routed to the merchants internal case workers for further indexing, validation, and archival to their Enterprise Content Management system of choice.
CAPSYS CAPTUREs sophisticated workflow capabilities facilitate the posting of the check and payment information to the customers line of business systems, ERP or financial systems such as MICROSOFT DYNAMICS GP, SAP and ORACLE E-Business.
“The business banking customer finally has an entirely web-based Transactional Content Management Capture system coupled with Remote Deposit Capture,” said Greg Cooke, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at CAPSYS. “The integrated solution is completely independent of any single banking institution. This is an absolute strength and position of power for the business banking customer to have the flexibility of a system that is portable from one bank to the next.”
The integrated solution eliminates clunky proprietary banking system software and a single purpose check scanner that is unable to scan business documents, while potentially reducing monthly account analysis fees assessed by banks. CAPSYS open architectures allows business banking customers to easily integrate data, check images and the corresponding documents processed by CAPSYS into the merchants line of business workflows and systems, and bypass the general purpose nature of proprietary banking systems.
“This level of software integration helps commercial businesses gain control over their accounts receivable processes and decreases their time to cash,” said Andy Bailey, Current Product Marketing Manager, Document Imaging, Kodaks Business Solutions and Services Group. Document Imaging, Kodaks Business Solutions and Services Group. “The integration between CAPSYS CAPTURE Software and KODAK t6000 Client and Server Transaction Software allows the business to capture checks and related business documents at point of origin, facilitating faster deposits and information processing measured in hours and minutes rather than days or weeks.”
