Wincanton updates its folding facilities
Tuesday 05. October 2010 - Wincanton Print will use the latest Stahlfolder KH66 combination machine for some of its work for the Aston Martin Racing team as well as for a wide range of commercial jobs ranging from banking documents to football programmes.
“This is a straight swap for an older eight year old machine,” says production director Ian Gatfield. “That achieved a good second-hand price. The residual value on these folders is good and we like to keep our technology updated. We did look at a more automated model in the Heidelberg range but our work didnt warrant it. The KH 66 is a versatile, user friendly machine and we are glad to continue with that make.”
The KH 66 is a 50,000 cycles an hour combination folder capable of handling a wide range of folds on sheets of between 14 x 18cm and 66 x 128cm in continuous pile feed configuration.
The company operates around the clock, six days a week with overtime on the seventh day when required.
