Graphic Designer Tutorial Features Process Metallic Color System by Color-Logic

Friday 01. October 2010 - The Process Metallic Color System by Color-Logic is featured in a new tutorial for professional graphic designers. The tutorial, conducted by noted designer Mark Mayers, provides step-by-step instructions for creating a hypothetical magazine cover with metallic special effects.

Following the tutorial, graphic designers create the image using Photoshop, and then add type and logos to complete the cover image using Illustrator and InDesign. The tutorial is conducted at Psdtuts+ (psd.tutsplus.com) and Vectortuts+ (vector.tutsplus.com), which reach tens of thousands of graphic designers around the world.

Commenting on the tutorial, Color-Logic Technical Director Richard Ainge said: “The Mark Mayers tutorial provides clear, concise instructions for creating an image with striking metallic special effects. In the past, graphic designers have often been reluctant to execute metallic special effects because of uncertainties connected with printing. But with the Process Metallic Color System by Color-Logic, graphic designers can prepare complex designs with confidence that they will print reliably and consistently. We are pleased that Color-Logic was chosen as the subject of the tutorial soon after its introduction.”
