Utilizing an advanced system platform, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE Series redefines how users access, share and manage document workflow and communications. Improved functionality and the seamless integration of hardware, software and services enable users to better manage and customize workflows, resulting in improved user and office productivity.

“The introduction of these cutting-edge products into the Océ portfolio is the next step as Canon and Océ create the top presence in the printing industry,” said John Reilly, President, Océ North America, Document Printing Systems. “We are confident that this series will dramatically improve the way our customers work and advance their business through the use of these streamlined and smart printing and document workflow solutions.”

With output speeds of up to 51 pages-per-minute (ppm), 45 ppm, 35 ppm and 30 ppm (letter), respectively, in color and black & white, the compact imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5051/C5045/C5035/C5030 models offer the increased functionality and workflow capabilities that most office settings require.

“With the inclusion of the imageRUNNER ADVANCE series in the Océ product offerings, customers will begin to see firsthand how the Canon and Océ product lines truly complement each other, resulting in a comprehensive and unparalleled portfolio of document imagining and management solutions,” said Sam Yoshida, Vice President and General Manager, Imaging Systems Group, Canon U.S.A.

Stunning image quality is possible on every print with up to 1,200 x 1200 dots-per-inch (dpi) resolution and Canon’s fine-grained pQ toner, which enables users to produce clear, smooth images with a high-quality finish. Canon’s exclusive Ultra Fast Rendering II (UFR II) technology offers users the flexibility of network printing. For greater connectivity, the devices can be upgraded with a variety of options, including PCL and PostScript 3.

For streamlined user operation, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5000 Series includes a large, 8.4″ full-color high-resolution user interface (UI) that features two menu keys for improved navigation, customizable onscreen buttons that can be arranged to meet users’ needs and a tutorial button that provides instructions for common user tasks. Instead of forcing users to walk to the printer to determine device status, imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop’s PC interface enables users to archive, merge and distribute documents from their desktop, as well as search for documents and monitor the status of their work from anywhere on the network.

Achieving exceptional speed and performance has also never been easier with the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5000 Series. Built on the Advanced imageCHIP system architecture, which features dual-processor technology, the models enable businesses to accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously. For greater productivity, the Advanced Box feature allows users to store documents in their native file formats and share Advanced Box documents across network-connected models and personal computers. Enhanced connectivity will also speed up workflows by allowing users to not only connect to USB memory devices, but work with various memory media, including SD and CompactFlash cards.

For even greater productivity, imageRUNNER ADVANCE Essentials, an integrated software suite, can be combined with imageRUNNER ADVANCE devices to bring their advanced functionality to a user’s desktop. imageRUNNER ADVANCE Essentials is composed of imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop, imageRUNNER ADVANCE Tracker and Workflow Composer and MEAP Connectors. imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop, a client-based dashboard application, enables users to easily import, view, edit and manage documents from their PC. imageRUNNER ADVANCE Tracker is an application that monitors and tracks the usage of imageRUNNER ADVANCE MFPs. Workflow Composer and MEAP Connectors simplifies multi-step workflows into single-button operations.

Finally, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5000 Series will help users increase their business productivity while decreasing their environmental impact. Utilizing Canon’s advanced technology, the models consume just 1 watt of electricity in Sleep mode and Canon’s RAPID Fusing Technology reduces power usage by up to 75% over previous models. The models also include components made from recycled plastic and emit 30% fewer emissions than previous models.
