Protecmedia at IFRA Expo 2010 Hamburg, Hall A1, Stand 1.110

Thursday 02. September 2010 - Protecmedia will attend the most important trade fair in the press sector, the IFRA Expo, to be held this year in the German city of Hamburg from 4-6 October.

The focus of this year’s edition will undoubtedlybe on the new digital channels, such as tablets and smartphones, which have definitively exploded onto the market, and the need to adapt to the new situation existing in the sector. For all of these reasons, Protecmedia will present its ideas and solutions under the theme ‘More… with less’, a clear reference to the fact that the products that it offers to editors enable them to be present in all media but without having to increase their structural costs; in short, efficiency and productivity in a multimedia scenario.

During the trade fair, Protecmedia will demonstrate the capacity of its solutions to integrate fully these new digital channels, particularly the iPad and the iPhone, within the same workflow in which web and paper editions co-exist. The editor may publish its newspapers and magazines through these devices, using a specific visor for each type of publication. It is thus possible to publish the information in any of the different media in a simple and effective manner, since this avoids the duplication of processes, all without the need to invest in new structures.

The whole process for producing news allows the journalist to use a single tool to create the information, regardless of the media through which it will be published. This simplifies the work, while also encouraging effectiveness and helping content quality, since the journalist only has to be concerned about his work, rather than technical aspects.

Protecmedia offers editors everything that they require to make the most of the new media. To this end, it has improved and developed the new version 6.5 of its MILENIUM Cross Media software platform. These improvements focus on both editorial matters and the generation of more income, through formulae such as online content syndication, digital subscriptions or a simpler relationship between the public and advertisers. With regard to advertising, the developments introduced have improved the whole online booking process for different media, the exploitation of classified ads offering a significant means of increasing income.

Protecmedia will be attending IFRA Expo in order to offer editors solutions that allow them to increase their productivity and efficiency and to be present in all media without having to invest anything in new structures. Without doubt, everything that they require to enable them to cope with the changes affecting the sector and adapt to these in the best possible manner.
