EFI Launches EFI eXpress for Xerox for Production Printing

EFI launched the EFI eXpress for Xerox 4.1 for wide-format printing. Based on the proven EFI Colorproof XF, BESTColor and Fiery technology, eXpress ensures exact colour management and a valuable set of production tools. With the experience of creating the award winning Fiery print controllers for millions of users, EFI was able to design an easy-to-use software RIP to give copy shops, creatives, print buyers, designers and printers the means to create high-quality production prints, photos, validation and even contract proofs.
EFI eXpress for Xerox
EFI eXpress for Xerox v4.1 is a Production Software RIP. It is easy to set up, easy to use, and provides high-fidelity production prints. Even inexperienced or occasional users will easily be able to operate the comprehensive set of production tools for resizing, cropping, rotating and nesting. EFI eXpress for Xerox is also designed for photo printing and proof printing so has professional colour management functionality such as spot colour libraries (PANTONE, DIC, HKS, Toyo and Custom) and ICC based profile support (up to 7 channels). EFI eXpress for Xerox is an Adobe PostScript 3 RIP which supports the following file formatsPS, EPS, DCS1, DCS2, PDF, PSD, TIFF, JPEG, JPEG2000, image PDF, image EPS, RAW, RPF (Remote Proofing Format). It also includes Adobe’s latest version of its PDF Print Engine (APPE). The installations and setup wizards mean all features are ready to take advantage of after just a 10 minute installation.
EFI eXpress for Xerox Printer Bundles
Xerox has chosen to have EFI eXpress for Xerox as an option for both the Xerox 7142 and the rest of its wide format printer range. “Xerox has partnered with EFI as a recognised market leader in graphic RIP software,” said Howard Witt, Wide Format Manager, Xerox Europe. “EFI has developed this unique production version of its eXpress RIP software. Xerox can now offer customers the Xerox 7142 colour printer with a low-cost powerful software workflow that is familiar and easy to use, and which can grow with their business needs to the full EFI software suite.
