NEW DSCOOP (DIGITAL SOLUTIONS COOPERATIVE) PROGRAM TO BE CO-LOCATED IN CHICAGO DURING GRAPH EXPO
Monday 16. August 2010 - Dscoop Program to Examine "The Relationship Between Leadership and Profitability"
Dscoop (The Digital Solutions Cooperative), a user-driven community of HP Graphic Arts press owners and their sales, marketing and production teams, has announced it will hold a special combination networking and education program for members in conjunction with GRAPH EXPO 2010, coming to Chicago this fall. GRAPH EXPO 2010, the year’s largest graphic communications exhibition and conference in the Americas, will take place October 3-6, 2010, in Chicago’s McCormick Place.
The day and a half Dscoop event will kick-off during GRAPH EXPO on Monday, October 4, with an evening reception at the River East Arts Center. Members will reconvene the following day, on Tuesday, October 5, for the program themed, “The Relationship Between Leadership and Profitability.” A Dscoop Leadership Breakfast, open to members, kicks off the program that morning from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. in the Grand Ballroom of McCormick Place. Immediately following the breakfast will be an educational panel discussion session, open to all GRAPH EXPO attendees, from 8:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., titled “Redirecting Your Business Strategies for Future Success,” moderated by Joe Truncale, president and CEO of NAPL. This special program will present the landmark findings of a major research project by NAPL, involving CEOs of privately-held business in the North American Graphic Communications industry, designed to answer the question: “Is there a link between sustained, higher than average corporate performance and the interpersonal communication skills of the executive leader?” This session will feature two Dscoop members in the commercial and large-format segments who successfully used the study results’ specific approach to leadership. The panelists will provide specific examples of how they altered their intra-company communication strategy to foster long-term growth strategies, and conclude the program with an interactive audience Q&A session.
Dscoop is a member-run organization focused on supporting each other to collectively improve their print businesses and the backbone technology of HP Graphic Arts digital solutions. “Dscoop is proud to partner with GRAPH EXPO to present this timely and relevant networking breakfast and session,” said Larry Vaughn, Dscoop chairman and president of Ideal Printers. “Providing educational and networking events year-round aligns with our mission and provides an added incentive to our members who are already planning on attending this seminal industry event in Chicago.”
“We’re pleased to be able to host the Dscoop events during GRAPH EXPO,” said Ralph Nappi, President of the Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC). “GRAPH EXPO has always been committed to digital and offset press users. And by co-locating their program with the show this October, Dscoop members will benefit from the expanded networking opportunities that GRAPH EXPO provides and find out about the very newest and innovative technology and productivity- and revenue-boosting ideas to apply to their businesses.”
