Pantec GS Systems to present in-line Hotfoil Embosser RHINO(tm) at Labelexpo Americas 2010
Monday 02. August 2010 - After a successful market launch in the european wine label market Pantec GS Systems presents RHINO(tm), an in-line hotfoil embosser for reel-fed material at Labelexpo Americas. Since market launch beginning of 2010, six orders for new RHINOís(tm) or upgrades were placed by european label manufacturers.
RHINO(tm) is especially appropriate to refine wine labels made of uncoated, structured papers. Integrated in rotary presses the pay back time of RHINO(tm) is extremely fast due to cost savings on foil and tools and faster production.
The hotfoil embossing process of RHINO(tm) combines the steps of hotfoil stamping and embossing into one single tool. Therefore RHINO(tm) achieves especially on open, structured papers significantly better results than conventional rotary systems.
Peter Frei, General Manager of Pantec GS Systems, explains the reason for the process benefits: “RHINO(tm) is equipped with a revolving foil head allowing the creation of complex designs. Multi-stepping on the same tool with multiple colour foils or blind embossing enhances flexibility for the design. Due to the simultaneous application of foil and embossing the register is perfect. As a second result of the simultaneous application, the brilliance of the foil is apparently better than in conventional two-step processing.” Peter Frei also highlights the economic potentials by using flat stamping tools, cheaper flat bed foil, the foil saver and by gaining speed. “All our RHINO(tm) systems are integrated in-line into web fed label presses. The in-line process boosts the overall efficiency significantly.”
