Offset Printing

De-mystify the real differentials between digital and litho next Wednesday!

Friday 09. July 2010 - "Most digital presses are running with less than 5% variable data and in some instances printers have bought the wrong equipment for the type of work they handle.

Litho can often generate more profit for the printer because it eliminates click charges, is cost competitive from 250 sheets (and often lower) and is more flexible in the stocks it handles,” says Matt Rockley, product manager for B2 and B3 products at Heidelberg UK.
He will host a focus on where digital complements litho next Wednesday 14 July at Heidelberg’s National Showroom in Tamworth. There Heidelberg invites printers to “discover the true cost of print”. Visitors are welcome from 9am to 4pm to view equipment and discuss issues with specialists. Presentations will be held alongside the Speedmaster SM 52 Anicolor at 11am and 2pm.
“At this showroom event we will provide both data and practical demonstrations of the speed and resource responsible attributes of the Anicolor press. Makereadies are now below six minutes and waste sheets under 20. Visitors would be welcome to bring their own stop watches to see just how fast litho is today. Anilox inking means quick, predictable colour and high productivity from low grammages up to lightweight board. It’s easy to use and a very profitable machine, as user after user will testify,” says Mr Rockley.
