INX Digital to preview new inks at Ad & Sign Show
Thursday 01. July 2010 - As INX Digital International Co. continues to make impressive inroads in the digital printing industry, the company will be front and center at the 17th annual Shanghai International Ad & Sign Technology Equipment Exhibition, July 7-10. To be held at the Shanghai International Expo Centre, INX Digital (Hall W1, Stand 532-534) will look to strengthen its position as a preferred supplier to the Asian Pacific market by previewing a UV LED ink in the Technology Showcase section of the booth.
INX Digital will put the spotlight on LED-INX, a UV-Curable pigmented inkjet ink. This product is in the development phase and company officials are very excited with the test results they have achieved with integrators around the world. In addition, the company will also feature its EVOLVE Advanced Digital Solutions with samples of printed applications and a flat screen TV monitor promoting the CP100 can printer, the NW100 narrow web press and the MD660 UV flatbed printer. All three machines give printers the tools to successfully transition from traditional printing to new niche markets, including digital printing.
“This show is important to INX Digital as we further expand our portfolio of digital ink products and industrial equipment for the Asian Pacific market,” said Willis Reese, Global Director of Business Development for INX Digital. “We see an obvious growth in digital printing globally and new opportunities in the Asian market for the next generation of digital products. Our products, combined with the strength of our international Research and Development, Technical services and manufacturing capabilities in the United States, Czech Republic and China makes us an ideal partner for many printers.”
LED-INX is a series of six acrylate-based UV curable pigmented high density inkjet inks for outdoor use on a wide range of display graphics media, including semi-rigid to rigid surfaces. With good adhesion and excellent anti-blocking properties and very fast cure speeds, it is intended for jetting through piezo DOD printheads at high temperatures up to 60 degrees Celsius.
“LED will become more popular in the Asian market because of its many advantages,” said Dennis Ash of INX Digital Asia Pacific. “Cost is a major factor in this market. LED light is more directional and will not lead to curing inks on the nozzle plate. Besides a longer life expectancy with 1-2 years of exposure, LEDs are more compact and operate on low voltages, making them electrically simpler and safer. You can also count on consistent UV output over the operating life and they do not contain any toxic metals.”
