Harland Simon extends its reach into Brazil
Tuesday 29. June 2010 - As a result of recent success and on-going expansion, Harland Simon has teamed up with Caltronic, a local company based out of Sao Paulo, to supply direct sales and support of Harland Simon products and services in the Brazilian region.
Caltronic Automação Indl. was established in 1991, originally focusing on the Brazilian market needs for local technical support. Since then, it has established itself for its support and customer oriented problem solving with innovating technologies thus bringing competitive advantages for its customers. With sales and technical departments, Caltronic offers Harland Simon a complete solution. Their sales department has technical knowledge, fundamental for the type of market where different configurations are made for similar applications. Their technical department has electrical engineers which are specialized in industrial automation. These engineers are responsible for the training of their technician staff, assuring that Caltronic will always have an updated department.
Vitor Caldana, Caltronic´s Director / Service Manager, commented, “We at Caltronic feel that the partnership with Harland Simon will be a very successful one, as it gives a great addition to our line of products and good support for Harland Simon. They have the flexibility and product lines necessary for both the newspaper and commercial market and we feel that the Brazilian market has grown in need of such products.”
Harland Simon has already reached out into the Latin America market with an order at El Mercurio, Chile a few years ago; However, Harland Simon now believe the time is right to form a more stable relationship with a local company that can supply not only sale support but local service as well – vitally important in the Latin America Market.
John Staiano, Senior Vice President for Harland Simon, further commented, “For Harland Simon this is a natural progression into a neighboring geographical region; this strategic alliance maximizes the strengths of both partners – Harland Simons knowledge of the printing industry, its products and services, couple this with Caltronics knowledge of the region and its customers – a perfect mix”
