PrintCity Alliance – Launch of New Latin American Knowledge Sharing Events 2010
Monday 28. June 2010 - The PrintCity Alliance, a grouping of over 20 independent suppliers to the global printing & packaging industry, has announced a series of new activities for the Latin American market.
These include Presentations & Workshops on Web Offset and Sheetfed Printing & Packaging topics in 2010, all under the connection of competence knowledge sharing strategy employed by PrintCity Alliance members.
This roll-out of PrintCity activities in Latin America announces the close cooperation of its members in this important region and aims to improve industry knowledge sharing.
New PrintCity Alliance activities in the Latin American region in 2010 include:
· 1st PrintCity Latin American News Conference – Expoprint
· Announcement of PrintCity Brazilian Events – Web & Sheetfed printing sectors
· First PrintCity event is in conjunction with the Associação Brasileira de Empresas com Rotativas Offset (Abro – Association of Web Offset Printers in Brazil), during their Annual Conference in São Paulo on August 18, 2010
The PrintCity Alliance is known for its shared members process research, publications and events (workshops, seminars, exhibitions) and has been in existence for over 10 years, bringing better industry understanding & opportunities in areas such as value added printing, the environment and workflow.

PrintCity Alliance Launches Latin American Activities – Full Details
Driven by its members interests in widening their existing strategic collaborative work within PrintCity, a series of new activities is announced to bring alliance knowledge sharing to Latin American markets and customers in the period 2010-2012:
· 1st PrintCity Latin American news conference – Expoprint – June 2010
On June 25 during Expoprint, PrintCity introduced its alliance membership, aims and worldwide activities. Participating members Sun Chemical and manroland, plus alliance partner Dalim, shared their latest company news for Latin America.
· Announcement of PrintCity Brazilian Events – Starting in August 2010, two events are planned initially, one focused on web offset printing together with Abro plus another event on sheetfed packaging topics at a later date this summer
· First PrintCity Event – Web Offset Printing Technical Visions for the Future of Print – August 18. PrintCity presentations by Sun Chemical, manroland, UPM and other partners, will take place during a 100 minutes dedicated session at the Abro Annual Conference in São Paulo, involving discussion panels & breakout sessions.

· Second PrintCity Event – Sheetfed Printing & Packaging Knowledge Sharing Workshop – This workshop is in the planning process and a date/location in August/September 2010 will be communicated as soon as it is confirmed. It will be focused on a creative new value added packaging project by PrintCity Alliance members – this will be its world premiere
These events are seen by PrintCity Alliance members to be the start of a new phase in their strategic activities in Latin America, increasing their visibility to new customers and supporting the value of the print & packaging industries. Feedback from Latin American customers will be sought and other events are expected in 2011 and beyond.
