Blessing for the ROLAND 700 HiPrint
Friday 18. June 2010 - Tipografica Vaticana consecrates a new press
Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, the Cardinal Secretary of State, blessed the new five-color ROLAND 700 HiPrint with coating module. With this latest installation, manroland further strengthens the trustful partnership with Tipografia Vaticana that has lasted for over half a century.
Cardinal Bertone explained that Tipografia Vaticana “has recently been equipped with state-of-the-art machinery which will enable them to perform at a very high level. Thus the Holy See publishing house will be able to supply the public with high-quality publications with contents of unquestionable value.”
Afterwards, during the blessing ceremony for the press in the recently renovated premises of Tipografia Vaticana, Don Pietro Migliasso, Director of the Salesian community in the Vatican and Tipografia Vaticana Editrice “LOsservatore Romano”, underlined that “since 1988 – the year in which the printing plant underwent a radical reconstruction – the equipment has been updated several times. This enables us to produce much faster and, above all, produce very demanding print jobs which has always been the stated objective of Tipografia Vaticana.”
According to Giuseppe Canesso, Technical Director of Tipografia Vaticana, the five-color ROLAND 700 HiPrint with coating module will enable the printing facility to provide “useful, beautiful and artistic publications, making us a medium for spreading Gods word and the word of the Holy Father and the Church all over the world.” The five-color ROLAND 700 HiPrint is configured with all the accessories that guarantee the highest level of printing quality and reduced makeready and job changeover times. These include ColorPilot for inline ink density measurement and color control, and TelePresence that enables manrolands technical support staff to directly access the press via modem.
