Fabrics available for new HP latex printer

Tuesday 15. June 2010 - Profiling at Procedes successfully completed

Print service provider Procedes based in Lemwerder near Bremen has already profiled the new Neschen fabrics to coincide with the launch of the HP Scitex LX800 latex printer. The focus is on the multifunctional Neschen “varitex decoframe” digital printing fabric in a printing width of three metres. Thanks to its novel coating, it can be printed with latex inks without losing any of its pleasant tactile properties.

“The new ‘varitex decoframe’ polyester fabric is well suitable for the dye sub process and for water-based and UV-curing inks,” explains excited Myriam Fürhölter, Junior Produkt Manager Inkjet at Neschen in Bückeburg, “we were particularly keen to see the print results achieved with the HP Scitex LX800 latex printer. These show that the HP latex inks are in no way inferior to solvent-based inks in terms of quality and flexibility.”

Oliver Hopert, Managing Director of Procedes in Lemwerder, is also extremely satisfied with the output. “The profiling for the new HP Scitex LX800 latex printer went well, and the Neschen media tested are performing superbly. Once again this demonstrates the value of our long-standing excellent collaboration with Neschen. The benefit for us is that the new fabrics are enabling us to bring our strengths in exhibition stand construction even more to the fore.”

As an HP Certified Development Partner Neschen has already developed digitally printable media before in collaboration with HP. They are ideally suited for latex inks and printers and offer superlative brilliance: a deep black and lustrous, intensive colours. The images are pin sharp and positively glow on the materials. With reference to the environment and occupational health and safety, however, their impact is considerably reduced. That is because digital prints produced using HP latex inks are odour-neutral and emit extremely small amounts of VOCs.

During the printing process they generate no ozone, and they also contain no other hazardous air pollutants. This means that no special ventilation system is required, and there are no emissions-related requirements. Furthermore, they are neither flammable nor combustible and are not classified as hazardous waste.

Reliably consistent quality and a wide selection of media for the most common ink systems can be taken as read at Neschen AG. Thanks to its comprehensive service and advice on all product- and application-related aspects the coating specialist is also able to offer its customers a high level of production reliability. ICC profiles downloadable free of charge and the Color Concept, where the Bückeburg-based company also carries out profiling directly on the customer’s premises, are just some examples of Neschen’s services.
