Practicum Adds Digital Capability to Meet Changing Market Demands

HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press

Wednesday 09. June 2010 - HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press acts as catalyst in digital development

The Practicum group, of Soest, The Netherlands, has installed an HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press to meet the demand for short-run, high-quality colour print. The Practicum group has expanded its commercial printing services and today it consists of four production units employing 65 people. While maintaining its strong conventional colour capabilities, Practicum now migrates jobs from conventional presses based on the economic cross-over point – the number of copies where digital is more cost-effective than conventional printing.

“In 2009, the increasing demand for short runs of full-colour products made it clear that the capability of a high quality digital colour press had become necessary,” said Frank Meijer, CEO, and co-owner with responsibility for marketing and sales, Practicum. “After carefully inspecting the various contenders in this class of high-quality, high production digital presses, we thought the HP Indigo 7000 clearly came out as the top choice for us.”
