Noel Tatt invests in second digital press from Fujifilm at Ipex 2010
Monday 31. May 2010 - Noel Tatt, suppliers of greeting cards for all occasions, and Impress Publishing, a leading supplier of Christmas cards and printed products to the charity market, has signed an order for a second Xerox 700 digital press on the Fujifilm stand at Ipex.
Studio manager, John Cox, comments: “Since installing the first 700 device18 months ago, weve printed over 2 million sheets. Our digital business has grown dramatically in that period of time, in part due to the fast turnaround and high quality we can offer with the 700, and we felt that a second device was more than justified. As weve been so delighted with the first device and the support from Fujifilm, there was no question of us choosing a different kind of digital press when the 700 has proved to be so reliable.
“Using the 700, weve expanded our customer offering to broaden the range of products we can provide to our customers, as well as using it to print our own, bespoke sales brochures in-house. And, in our mail order fulfilment business, we can turn stock around in two to three days, or even quicker if need be. The second 700 will be a very valuable addition to our business, and weve got some new customers already lined up to add to the ever-increasing list of work weve got planned for the press.”
The Xerox 700 is aimed at the production of photo books, brochures, direct mail pieces, catalogues, calendars and postcards. It can output at speeds of up to 70ppm in both colour and mono production and on stock weights ranging between 64gsm-300gsm.
