Atlantic Zeiser Debuts end-to-end DIGILINE Sheet system solutions at Ipex
Thursday 20. May 2010 - Atlantic Zeiser is to present for the first time at Ipex its DIGILINE Sheet, an example of the companys integrated, end-to-end system solutions for high-resolution digital printing of variable data and content on porous and non-porous substrates.
The companys solutions offer qualities and speeds similar to offset and are ideal for security, packaging, labelling, product and paper printing. Typical applications include late-stage differentiation in the current production process and just-in-time production. Ipex 2010 is being staged in Birmingham, England, and runs from May 18 – 25. Atlantic Zeiser can be found in Hall 6, Stand C557.
Birmingham, Great Britain, 19 May 2010 – Atlantic Zeiser Group, a leading supplier of technology modules and system solutions for industrial digital printing, will demonstrate how optimised end-to-end system solutions can be created for different sectors and applications through the integration of different modules in a one-stop shop.
At IPEX 2010, one of the leading specialist trade fairs for printing, publishing and media, Atlantic Zeiser will unveil its integrated DIGILINE Sheet 300 solution for the first time and demonstrate a security print of customs and excise banderoles. The demonstration will be representative of multiple system configurations for different applications based on the off-the-shelf principle, and will underline the flexibility of Atlantic Zeisers end-to-end solutions. Following close co-operation with leading brand owners and packaging producers, it has been possible to create flexible and scalable systems that are user oriented and increase cost-efficiency through just-in-time production.
The increased demand for late-stage adaptation or the overprinting of preprinted products within printing processes in security printing depends primarily on cost reductions through just-in-time production, short reaction times and minimised standing times for production facilities. As a result, the rapid and high-value printing of variable data and information, such as barcodes, security characteristics, numbering and product content data in various languages, is a common customer requirement.
The DIGILINE Sheet 300 on show at IPEX is an example of a special application from security printing. Printing customs and excise banderoles on paper formats demands a precise, top-quality and high-speed printing process. This example also shows that in document printing, and with printing flat products, industrial digital printing offers quality and production speed comparable to offset. The DIGILINE Sheet 300 works with two digital DELTA 105i inkjet printers, both of which print using environmentally friendly, water-based inks. As a result, there is no dryer module needed. The presented single web application has a resolution of 600 dpi and can print at speeds of up to 120 m/min. Information from a font size of 2 points can be produced.
The DIGILINE Sheet Series is used for different applications in security printing, including personalisation, marking and coding webs, and cartons (in flexible mail shots, transpromo prints and packaging printing). Depending on the configuration of the integration module, it is possible to print more white with spot colours or in full-colour printing. In addition, the use of a camera-based verification with VERICAM as well as a PDF/VT Workflow module is possible. This is supplemented by the fact that the customer can use integration modules for product tracking (Track & Tracing) and for anti-counterfeiting.
The DIGILINE Sheet features page / product widths of between 30 and 1050 mm. All of the print engines, as well as the suitable Atlantic Zeiser dryer units, are available as integration modules along with OMEGA, DELTA and GAMMA. A mini-controller, which controls the system solution seamlessly without a limit on the production and information flow to be included, is integrated.
