Scodix Partners Up with Dscoop (Digital Solutions Cooperative)

Thursday 13. May 2010 - Scodix Ltd., the leading developer of digital enhancement presses, today announced that it has partnered up with Dscoop (Digital Solutions Cooperative).

Dscoop is a dynamic, user-driven community of HP Indigo press owners and their sales, marketing and production teams. Members of Dscoop are focused on supporting each other to collectively improve their print businesses and the backbone technology of HP Indigo’s digital solutions.

Scodix’s flagship, the Scodix1200 Digital UV Embossing Press, will be launched during IPEX 2010, Hall 12 Stand B120, which will take place from May 18 – 25, 2010 in Birmingham, UK and is scheduled for release immediately following IPEX 2010. The Scodix1200 enables effortlessly digital embossing of selective areas (gloss or matte) on printed media with a unique and thick varnish of up to 70 microns, dual-sided, thereby enriching the printed application with an embossing effect that gives dimensionality and texture to images and words.

Its easy-to-use digital interface supports Variable Data Embossing (VDE) for personalized applications, such as greeting cards, business cards, invitations, and stationary applications as well as photo albums and other W2P applications. The Scodix1200 is ideal for short, medium and long runs, it stores all image data digitally from a PC, works with both PDF and Tiff files in a variety of formats including B2 and A3 (up to 50x70cm / 19×27 inch) and accepts a wide selection of substrates (135-500 gr/m2).
