Pantone Announces Broad Industry Support for New PANTONE PLUS SERIES
Monday 10. May 2010 - Integration with Industry Workflows and Processes Means More Colors for Designers and Printers
Pantone LLC, an X-Rite company (NASDAQ: XRIT) and the global authority on color and provider of professional color standards for the design industries, today announced the availability of the PANTONE PLUS SERIES (see separate release) with support from major industry technology providers including Adobe, Agfa Graphics, Canon, EFITM, Epson, Esko, Heidelberg, Quark and Xerox.
A modern evolution of the PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM, the PANTONE PLUS SERIES provides designers and printers with new features and capabilities to fulfill their creative desires. Enhancements include the chromatic arrangement of colors for more intuitive selection, an expanded palette of spot colors, the addition of new premium metallics and a broader range of neons.
Pantone has been working with partners across industries to provide support for the PLUS SERIES and ensure its integration with existing workflows – including software applications, RIPs, proofing systems and digital color output devices. Pantone continues to add new industry partners to this growing list of supporters.

Every PLUS SERIES purchase includes COLOR MANAGER Software free-of-charge upon registration. The public beta version of COLOR MANAGER will be available in June 2010 to registered users. PANTONE PLUS Digital Libraries for Adobe and Quark will also be available in June 2010 free-of-charge to anyone wanting to update their favorite software with the new PLUS SERIES colors.
