Bosnia-Herzegovina Postal Service opts for IMPIKA inkjet printer solution
Monday 10. May 2010 - Following publication of an international call for tender, the Bosnian postal service (BH Post) has selected the IMPIKA iPrint solution proposed in partnership with the companys Balkan representative, MP sistemi.
Following review of print production requirements notably for in-house transactional and promotional documents, BH Post published an international call for tender which mobilized key players in the business.
The complete printing and finishing solution proposed by IMPIKA and conceived around the iPrint 75, continuous-feed digital printer was selected because it better addresses the transactional and promotional specifications anticipated in the BH Post tender documents.
iPrint product modularity was cited as providing the decisive advantage against larger industrial competitors. The flexibility of iPrint configurations frees management to focus on productivity and output quality. This flexibility, unique in the marketplace, is a reflection on IMPIKAs inkjet expertise and market experience, and the fact that IMPIKAs iPrint solutions can be used equally for high-speed transaction processing print runs of up to 512 colour A4 sheet-equivalents per minute, and for high resolution output (1200 dpi) when producing promotional materials.
“We are proud to have been chosen once again to provide an innovative solution to our long-standing customer, BH Post. The IMPIKA solution was selected for the performance of the iPrint line and for the quality of service provided. Our success is the direct result of a strong working partnership with IMPIKA and their high standard of professionalism,” noted Andrej Antonic, CEO of MP sistemi.
The assembled production line is to be located in Sarajevo and will consist of an iPrint 75 duplex (SED24) inkjet printer, equipped with the latest generation AFP/IPDS iController for management of variable data. The production line will function in continuous feed roll-to-roll or in continuous feed roll-to-bindery configurations with appropriate folding, perforation and finishing equipment.
Jean Marc Pasturel, IMPIKA Director of Sales & Marketing noted: “Our success in this competitive bid confirms our belief that we provide flexible and scalable solutions to meet the needs of our international clientele. While this competition confirms our capacity for leadership, we are also pleased to note the excellent work done by our local partner, PM sistemi, and the success of our export strategy.”
With installation of this new production line, the Bosnian postal service will soon “print its difference”.
