AT FESPA MIMAKI SHOWS ITS COMPLETE INKJET PRINTING AND CUTTING SOLUTIONS FOR THE SIGN, TEXTILE AND SPECIALTY PRINTING MARKETS
Thursday 06. May 2010 - At Fespa Munich (June 22-26, 2010), Hall B2 stand 270, Mimakis expanding portfolio of different inkjet printers and cutters will enthuse visitors with the new UJF Series compact (A3) and medium size UV flatbed printers and the two new direct to textile printers, Tx400-1800D and super wide format JV5-320DS.
The company offers innovative solutions for every Fespa visitor looking for a solution in the Sign Graphics, Textile & Apparel and Industrial & Specialty printing markets.
The recently launched small and medium size UJF flatbed printers have made a spectacular impact during the various exhibitions in Europe since the start of this year. Printing companies looking for on-demand short run production and variable data printing of promotional products, novelties, gifts, name plates, cards, electronics covers and control panels are offered real innovations. The UJF-3042 is a one of a kind affordable yet durable solution, whereas the UJF-706 will appeal mostly to industrial print companies that need exceptionally fine image quality with the benefits of printing on products up to a thickness of 15cm.
Furthermore, Mimaki has recently introduced a whole new generation of direct to textile and sublimation printers; the 1.8 meter wide Tx400-1800D, which produces printed polyester, cotton and silk up to a speed of 56.4 m2/h* and the 3.2 meter wide, also highly productive, direct to polyester printer JV5-320DS for flags and soft signage.
* Top speed (for distant view)
A complete overview of Mimakis printers and cutters to be shown at Fespa is:
Industry leading solvent printers
The industry standard of solvent printers, JV33 Series, will show its capabilities with its high value proposition of high speed printing, superb print quality and a friendly entry level price. By adding the CG Series cutting plotter, visitors will see high speed accurate cutting of window and floor graphics, stickers and labels. Mimaki will also show its integrated solvent print and cut solution CJV30 Series offering sign makers with limited space a reliable solution to print and cut high quality graphics, stickers, labels and more.
UJV-160 Hybrid UV LED printer
Visitors to the stand will be able to see live demonstrations of two hybrid UJV-160 printers. The UJV-160, a 160 cm wide roll-to-roll large format UV LED curing inkjet printer, can accommodate rigid media up to 10 mm due to its folding tables that come with the printer as standard. Because the printer utilizes UV LED curing technology, the curing heat emitted by the UV LEDs is very low, resulting in problem free printing on heat sensitive media, such as vinyl. Depending on their needs, buyers can choose between flexible or hard ink. The flexible ink is ideal for car wrapping or vacuum forming which requires bending or stretching of the media.
New UV flatbeds in various sizes
Small format
The revolutionary UJF-3042 is an entry level A3 UV curing flatbed printer, which can accommodate objects up to 5cm thickness. The machine is ideal for companies that wish to invest in a cost-effective, high quality UV flatbed solution to print small quantities of promotional products, novelties, mobile phones, laptops, control panels, gift boxes, name plates and more. The machine incorporates Mimakis highly innovative UV LED curing technology which offers a range of benefits, such as printing on heat sensitive media. This entry level printer also offers white ink and clear coat.
Medium size
Also the new UJF-706 is unique in its field, printing photo-realistic quality with impressive detail on small objects for on-demand variable short run production for various industries. The UJF-706 has a larger print area (70x60cm) than its predecessor and can accommodate objects up to 15cm thickness which is three times thicker than the UJF-605CII.
Large format
The JFX-1631 UV LED large format curing flatbed printer, introduced in 2009, offers users the possibility of printing large quantities of smaller objects or smaller quantities of large format sign panels. The UV flatbed printer differentiates itself through its capability to print stunning detail, for instance, readable 3-point characters. Furthermore, the JFX offers all the benefits of UV LED curing technology including problem-free printing on heat sensitive media, lower energy consumption and longer durability of LEDs versus conventional UV lamps.
New generation textile printers
The new Tx400-1800D direct to textile printer employs an innovative feature that enables the user to adjust the ink volume that is jetted by the print head according to the type of cloth and design. This offers the possibility of printing different color depths to achieve amazing design effects. In addition, according to the print job, the Tx400-1800D can accommodate both direct-to-textile and dye-sublimation printing employing sublimation media. Three different inks; dye sublimation ink, reactive dye ink and acid dye ink are available. Furthermore, Mimaki will show its expansion into the super wide direct to polyester printer segment. The new JV5-320DS enables direct printing on polyester substrates up to a width of 3.2 m for the production of flags and soft signage.
